पिंपरी, दि. १६ ऑगस्ट २०२२:-  शून्य कचरा उपक्रम हा महापालिकेचा महत्त्वाकांक्षी उपक्रम असून झोपडपट्टी भागात असा उपक्रम सुरू होत आहे ही अभिमानाची गोष्ट आहे. जिथे स्वच्छता असते तिथे प्रसन्नता, आरोग्य नांदते, तेथे मन प्रफुल्लित होते, नवीन निर्मितीची उमेद निर्माण होते. कचरामुक्त शहर संकल्पनेला प्रत्यक्षात साकार करण्यासाठी  सर्वांनी उत्स्फुर्तपणे यात सहभागी व्हावे, असे आवाहन  आयुक्त राजेश पाटील यांनी  केले.

महानगरपालिका आयुक्त राजेश पाटील यांनी स्वछाग्रह मोहिमेच्या माध्यमातून शून्य कचरा उपक्रम राबविण्याचे ठरवले. सहाय्यक आयुक्त अण्णा बोदडे यांनी क क्षेत्रिय कार्यालयांचे हद्दीत शून्य कचरा झोपडपट्टी उपक्रम सुरू करण्यासाठी गेल्या दोन महिन्यांपासून नियोजन केले. महिला बचत गटाच्या माध्यमातून वस्तीतील सार्वजनिक शौचालय साफसफाई प्रकल्प नवी दिशा चे माध्यमातून सुरू केल्यानंतर या प्रकल्प निर्मितीचे कामाला चालना मिळाली. त्याच अंतर्गत गवळीमाथा झोपडपट्टीमध्ये शून्य कचरा उपक्रमाला आयुक्त राजेश पाटील यांच्या हस्ते  आज प्रारंभ करण्यात आला. या झोपडपट्टीमधील ओल्या कच-यापासून खतनिर्मिती करण्यात येणार आहे. येथील  ओला कचरा नेहरूनगर येथील गुलाब पुष्प उद्यानात आणला जाणार आहे. त्यातून खत निर्मिती करण्यात येणार आहे. या प्रकल्पाचा शुभारंभ देखील आयुक्त पाटील यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला. गुलाब पुष्प उद्यानात झालेल्या या कार्यक्रमावेळी अतिरिक्त आयुक्त विकास ढाकणे, उपआयुक्त अजय चारठाणकर, क क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी अण्णा बोदडे, आरोग्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी गणेश देशपांडे, स्वच्छ समन्वयक विनोद जळक, सहायक आरोग्याधिकारी तानाजी दाते, डिवाईन संस्थेचे प्रतिनिधी, परिसरातील नागरिक फकिरा आदक, विकास भूंबे, महिला बचत गटाच्या मंगल वाडकर, नागरिक  आदी उपस्थित होते.

आयुक्त पाटील म्हणाले, आजूबाजूला कचरा असल्यास नैराश्य वाटायला लागते. झोपडपट्टीभागात खूप कमी जागेत अधिक लोक वास्तव्य करतात. तेथे घनकच-याचे योग्य व्यवस्थापन झाले नाही तर व्याधी निर्माण होतात. या ठिकाणी आर्थिकदृष्ट्या दुर्बल लोक वास्तव्य करतात. आरोग्य बिघाड झाल्यास त्यांना आर्थिक नुकसान देखील सोसावे लागते. आपल्या शहराला देशातील स्वच्छ शहर करण्यासाठी स्वच्छाग्रह मोहीम राबवली जात आहे. या माध्यमातून नागरिकांमध्ये  स्वच्छतेविषयी जागृती केली जात आहे. महापालिकेने सुरू केलेल्या नवी दिशा उपक्रमाला चांगला प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. शून्य कचरा उपक्रमदेखील असाच महत्वपूर्ण आहे. कच-याचे विलगीकरण केल्याने कच-याची विल्हेवाट लावण्यास मदत होते. आपण कचरा ही टाकाऊ गोष्ट म्हणून बघतो. पण आजच्या युगात कच-याला किंमत येत आहे. पर्यावरण हानी रोखण्यासाठी कच-यापासून खत निर्मिती करणे गरजेचे आहे. येत्या काही दिवसात बचत गटाच्या माध्यमातून कच-याची विल्हेवाट लावण्यासाठी इतर झोपडपट्टी भागात देखील असा उपक्रम सुरु करण्यात येणार आहे. त्या भागातील बचत गटांना काम दिल्याने अधिक सक्षमपणे कच-यापासून खत निर्मिती करून परिसर स्वच्छ ठेवणे सहज शक्य होणार आहे. शिवाय बचत गटांना रोजगाराची संधी यातून मिळेल. शून्य कचरा उपक्रमासाठी नागरिकांना पैसे द्यावे लागणार नाही, असे आयुक्त पाटील म्हणाले. झोपडपट्टी भागात सार्वजनिक नळजोड आहेत. आता सर्वांना स्वतंत्र नळ जोड देणार आहोत. शिवाय मलनिसारण वाहिन्यांना देखील या भागातील जोडणी केली जाईल. गवळीमाथा झोपडपट्टीमध्ये “मिशन शून्य कचरा” या उपक्रमाला यशस्वी करण्यासाठी नागरिकांनी दिलेल्या सहकार्याबद्दल आयुक्त पाटील यांनी आभार मानले.

यावेळी अतिरिक्त आयुक्त विकास ढाकणे, स्थानिक रहिवासी विकास भूंबे यांनी समयोचित भाषण केले. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक सहायक आयुक्त अण्णा बोदडे यांनी केले. आभार उपआयुक्त अजय चारठाणकर यांनी मानले. सूत्रसंचालन जनसंपर्क अधिकारी किरण गायकवाड यांनी केले.
