पुणे दि.२८: निवडणूक प्रक्रियेतील अनुभवाची देवाणघेवाण व भविष्यातील नियोजन करताना तसेच निवडणूक विषयक कामकाजाचा कृती आराखडा तयार करण्यासाठी उप जिल्हा निवडणूक अधिकारी यांचेसाठी आयोजित कार्यशाळा निश्चितच उपयुक्त ठरेल, असा विश्वास मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी श्रीकांत देशपांडे यांनी व्यक्त केला.

भारतीय विज्ञान शिक्षण आणि संशोधन संस्थेच्या सभागृहात राज्यातील उप जिल्हा निवडणूक अधिकारी यांच्यासाठी आयोजित कार्यशाळेच्या उद्घाटन प्रसंगी ते बोलत होते. यावेळी सह मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी मनोहर पारकर, उपायुक्त संतोष पाटील आदी उपस्थित होते.

मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी श्री. देशपांडे म्हणाले, निवडणुक विषयक कामकाज करताना आलेल्या अनुभवाची देवाण-घेवाण उपयुक्त आहे. निवडणुक प्रक्रियेतील आपले हे अनुभव पुढील निवडणूक कामकाजासाठी दिशादर्शक ठरतील. कार्यशाळेतील विचारमंथनाच्या आधारे पथदर्शी मुद्दे समोर यावेत, अशी अपेक्षा त्यांनी व्यक्त केली.

राज्याच्या निवडणुक प्रकियेबाबतचे प्रशासकीय नियोजन, आधार लिंकेज, स्वीप कार्यक्रमात नाविन्यपूर्ण कामकाज, समाज माध्यमांचा वापर, भविष्यातील नियोजन याबाबत कार्यशाळेचे आयोजन करण्यात आले आहे. कार्यशाळा निवडणूक विषयक कामकाजासाठी अधिकाऱ्यांना उपयुक्त आणि मार्गदर्शक ठरेल, असे श्री.देशपांडे म्हणाले.

भारत निवडणूक आयोगाने राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील काही प्रकल्प करण्याची जबाबदारी मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी यांच्यावर सोपवली आहे. अत्यंत महत्वाच्या प्रकल्पाची जबाबदारी राज्यावर सोपविणे ही राज्यासाठी अभिमानाची बाब आहे. देशात निवडणूक विषयक कामकाजात राज्याने चांगली कामगिरी केली आहे. राज्यात निवडणूक यंत्रणेतील सर्वांच्या क्रीयाशील सहभागाचे हे यश असल्याचा उल्लेखही श्री. देशपांडे यांनी केला.

सह मुख्य निवडणूक अधिकारी मनोहर पारकर यांनी भारत निवडणूक आयोगाने केलेल्या कायद्यातील बदलाची अंमलबजावणी प्रभावीपणे करण्यासाठी कार्यशाळा महत्त्वपूर्ण ठरणार असल्याचे सांगितले.

दोन दिवसीय कार्यशाळेत विविध तज्ज्ञ निवडणुक विषयक कामकाजाबाबत मार्गदर्शन करणार आहेत. कार्यशाळेला राज्यातील सर्व जिल्ह्यांचे उपजिल्हा निवडणूक अधिकारी सहभागी झाले आहेत.
