यावेळी बिग बॉइझ ई सायकलच्या सहसंचालिका शितल पाटील व सीटीओ कैलास थोरात उपस्थित होते.
वाढत्या इंधन दराला हा एक उत्तम पर्याय आहे. सार्वजनिक वाहनांपेक्षा स्वस्त असून त्याच वेळेस वैयक्तिक पाहिजे त्या ठिकाणी ई सायकल घेऊन जाता येते. याची विशेषता म्हणजे याला पैडल असिस्ट व अ‍ॅक्सिलेटर उपलब्ध करून दिला आहे. व्यायाम प्रेमी सुद्धा याचा उपयोग करू शकतात.
वाढत्या वाहनांमुळे पर्यावरणाला धोका पोहचत असतांना एमआयटीच्या टीबीआय सेंटरच्या माध्यमातून ‘बिग बॉइझ’ इलेक्ट्रिक ने या वाहनांची निर्मिती केली आहे. शाश्‍वत विकासासाठी हे अत्यंत महत्वाचे आहे. बिग बॉईझ ई सायकल दोन मॉडेलमध्ये उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आली आहेत. त्यातील सिटी सायकल हे मॉडेल सिंगल चार्ज वर जवळपास ३० ते ३५ किमी धावते. तर ब्लॅक पर्ल हे दुसरे मॉडेल सिंगल चार्ज मध्ये ७० ते ७५ किमी धावते. या दोन्ही मॉडेलची बॅटरी जवळपास साडे तीन तासात चार्ज होते.
बाजारातील अन्य उपलब्ध बॅटरीच्या सायकलची वॉरंटी ही १८ महिन्यांची असून या ई सायकलची वॉरंटी ३ वर्षांची आहे. हे वाहन चालवितांना ग्राहक अतिरिक्त बॅटरी स्वतः जवळ बॅकपॅकमध्ये ठेवू शकतो. याच्या मोटरची वॉरंटी २ वर्षांची आहे. शहरामध्ये सायकलचे काही निवडक सर्व्हिस सेंटर उपलब्ध असून तेथे ग्राहकांचे पूर्ण समाधान होईल.
बाजारात अन्य इलेक्ट्रिक बाइक पेक्षा ही अत्यंत माफक दरात उपलब्ध करून देण्यात आली आहे. यातील सिटी सायकल या मॉडेलचे स्वागत मूल्य रु.३५,८८०/- आणि ब्लॅक पर्ल मॉडेलची किंमत रु.४८,८८०/- ठेवण्यात आली आहे. ही सायकल सध्या काळा, पिवळा आणि पांढरा या तीन रंगात उपलब्ध आहे. सायकलला हायड्रोलिक डिस्क ब्रेक असून ७ गिअर आहेत.
बाजारातील या नवीन इलेक्ट्रिकसायकलसाठी काही ऑफर देण्यात आल्या आहेत. ज्यांना ही ई सायकल हवी असेल त्यांनी आपली जुनी सायकल घेऊन यावी आणि त्यावर ५ हजार रूपये पर्यंत सूट मिळवावी. तसेच, प्रथम १०० ग्राहकांसाठी लकी ड्रॉ काढण्यात येणार आहे. त्यातील प्रथम तीन ग्राहकांना त्यांची ई सायकल मोफत देण्यात येणार आहे.
