पिंपरी चिंचवड – पिंपरी चिंचवड महानगरपालिकेमार्फत शहरातील नागरिकांना मनपा रुग्णालये व दवाखान्यांत माफक दरामध्ये आरोग्य सेवा पुरविण्यात येते. सदर रुग्णालये व दवाखान्यांमध्ये पुरविण्यात येणाऱ्या उपचाराकरिता लागू असलेल्या दरांमध्ये वाढ करण्याचा निर्णय मनपा प्रशासनामार्फत घेण्यात आलेला आहे. सदर प्रस्तावित असलेला दरवाढीचा निर्णय रद्द करण्यात यावा, अशी मागणी माजी नगरसेवक संदीप वाघेरे यांनी आयुक्त राजेश पाटील यांना निवेदनाद्वारे केली आहे.

याविषयी अधिक माहिती देताना वाघेरे म्हणाले कि, शहरातील नागरिकांना आरोग्य सेवा पुरविणे हे महापालिकेचे कर्तव्य असून अधिनियमातील तरतुदीनुसार महापालिकेमार्फत दर्जेदार आरोग्य सुविधा उपलब्ध करण्याकरीता नविन रुग्णालये व दवाखान्यांची देखील निर्मिती करण्यात आलेली आहे. तथापि, सदर रुग्णालये व दवाखान्यांमध्ये पुरविण्यात येणाऱ्या उपचाराकरिता लागू असलेल्या दरांमध्ये वाढ करण्याचा निर्णय मनपा प्रशासनामार्फत घेण्यात आलेला आहे.वास्तविकरीत्या महानगरपालिकेच्या रुग्णालये व दवाखान्यांमध्ये येणाऱ्या रुग्णांची सर्वाधिक संख्या हि आर्थिक दुर्बल घटकांची असते.त्यामुळे अशा आर्थिक दुर्बल घटकाकरिता माफक दरामध्ये सेवा पुरविणे आवश्यक असताना मनपा प्रशासनामार्फत करण्यात आलेली दरवाढ हि अन्यायकारक आहे. तसेच महानगरपालिकेमार्फत आरोग्य सेवा पुरविणेकामी रुग्णांवर होणारा खर्च वार्षिक र.रु.१० कोटी इतका असून त्यासाठी अतिरिक्त शुल्क आकारणे योग्य वाटत नाही.सदरची रक्कम महानगरपालिकेच्या मनुष्यबळ,संगणक यंत्रणा,केसपेपर इत्यादी वर होणारा खर्च देखील वाचू शकतो.त्यामुळे आरोग्य सुविधांमध्ये दरवाढ करण्याएवजी सदर सेवा निशुल्क स्वरुपात पुरविणे उचित ठरणार आहे.
त्याचबरोबर शासनामार्फत देखील अनेक योजना आर्थिक दुर्बल घटकातील नागरिकांसाठी मोफत स्वरुपात राबविण्यात येतात.त्यामुळे महानगरपालिकेमार्फत देखील आरोग्य सेवा ह्या माफत दरामध्ये अथवा विनामूल्य असणे गरजेचे आहे.
मनपा प्रशासनामार्फत शहरातील नागरिकांना माफक दरामध्ये दर्जेदार आरोग्य सेवा पुरविण्यासाठी आवश्यक ती कार्यवाही करण्यात यावी तसेच प्रस्तावित असलेली दरवाढ त्वरित रद्द करण्यात यावी अशी आगृही मागणी वाघेरे यांनी केली आहे.
