मुंबई :- ज्येष्ठ समाजसेविका पद्मश्री सिंधुताई सपकाळ यांच्या निधनामुळे समाजातील अनाथांच्या डोक्यावर मायेचे मातृछत्र धरणारी माय हरपली आहे. समाजातील हजारो अनाथ मुला-मुलींचा सांभाळ करुन त्यांच्यावर मायेची पखरण करणाऱ्या सिंधुताईंच्या निधनाने महाराष्ट्राच्या सामाजिक क्षेत्राची मोठी हानी झाली आहे, अशा शब्दात उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार यांनी सिंधुताईंना श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे.

उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार आपल्या शोकसंदेशात म्हणतात, सिंधुताई सपकाळ यांनी समाजातल्या हजारो अनाथ मुला-मुलींचा सांभाळ केला, त्यांना शिक्षण देऊन आपल्या पायावर उभे केले, त्यांना मायेची सावली दिली. महिलांच्या अन्याय अत्याचाराला वाचा फोडण्याचे काम करत, त्यांनी त्यांच्या सामाजिक कार्याला सुरुवात केली. आयुष्यभर संघर्ष, कष्ट करत त्यांनी सामाजिक कामाचा वसा जपला. त्यांच्या समाजकार्याची दखल घेऊन त्यांना नुकतेच पद्मश्री पुरस्काराने सन्मानित करण्यात आले होते. सिंधुताईंच्या निधनाने हजारो अनाथांचे मातृछत्र हरपलं आहे, अशा शब्दात उपमुख्यमंत्री अजित पवार यांनी त्यांना श्रद्धांजली वाहिली आहे.
