यावेळी शरद पवार म्हणाले की, “ईद होऊन गेली, पण ईद चा विचार काही संपलेला नाही. तो विचार जतन करणे, एकवाक्यता निर्माण करणं, भाईचारा वाढवणं, संकटाच्या काळात मदतीला धावणे अशा अनेक समस्यावेळी आपण एकतेचा संदेश देतो. धर्म हा बंधुभाव, इतिहास सांगतो.
शरद पवार पुढे म्हणाले की, “देशात वेगळं वातावरण तयार करण्याचं काम काही शक्ती करत आहेत. आताच सांगितलं की ‘द काश्मीर फाईल्स’. काय आहे ‘द काश्मीर फाईल्स’. काय प्रकार आहे? तर देशाचा हा एक भाग आहे. पण जवळच्या देशाने काही हल्ले केले. तेव्हा हिंदू-मुस्लिमांवर जे हल्ले झाले, त्यावेळी भाजप विचारी सत्ता होते आणि आज तेच काश्मीर फाईल मधून वेगळं दाखवलं.
देशातील सद्य स्थितीवर भाष्य करताना शरद पवार म्हणाले की, “शिवाजी महाराजांनी काय सांगितलं, समाजात बंधुभाव राखा. दिल्लीत मोघलांचं, औरंगाबाद, राजस्थानमध्ये काही राज्यं आली. पण महाराष्ट्रात रयतेचे, हिंदवी स्वराज्याचे राज्य आलं. कधीही आपल्या राज्यात भोसल्यांचे राज्य म्हटलं गेलं नाही. पण काही लोक आपल्या राज्यात तेढ निर्माण करू पाहत आहेत. पण आम्हाला नको ही तेढ. आम्हाला एकता हवी, विकास हवा. हीच एकता निर्माण करण्यासाठी या कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले, समाजासमोर एक आदर्श उभा करणारा हा संदेश दिला.”
राष्ट्रवादीचे खासदार डॉ. अमोल कोल्हे म्हणाले की, “राष्ट्रीय एकात्मता हा विषय देश पातळीवर नव्हे तर आंतरराष्ट्रीय पातळीवरचा झालाय. जर्मनी, अफगाणिस्तान, श्रीलेंकेवर काय परिस्थिती उद्भवली हे आपण पाहतोय. तिथं ही वेगेवेगळे विषय पुढं आणले जायचे. मात्र मुख्य प्रश्न समोर आले की मग काय होतं, हे आज श्रीलंकेत आपण पाहतोय.
