यावेळी भाऊसाहेब भोईर यांनी सांगितले की, प्रसिद्ध गायिका गानसम्राज्ञी आशा भोसले यांच्या वाढदिवसाच्या निमित्ताने २००२ पासून ‘स्वरसम्राज्ञी आशा भोसले पुरस्कार’ दिला जातो. गेल्यावर्षी कोरोनामुळे पुरस्कार वितरण सोहळा झाला नाही. २०२० चा पुरस्कार कोरोनाचे नियम पाळून लवकरच घेण्याचे नियोजन आहे. एकोणीसावा पुरस्कार डॉ. सलील कुलकर्णी यांना जाहीर करण्यात आला आहे. या वर्षीचा हा १९ वा पुरस्कार असून पुरस्काराचे स्वरुप १ लाख ११ हजार रुपये रोख, शाल व सन्मान चिन्ह असे आहे.
