पुणे: गोव्यात सेलिब्रेशन करून आम्ही पुण्याला परतत होतो. सकाळी पणजीमधून गाडी काढली अन् पुण्यात पोहचे पर्यंत रात्र होत आली. म्हणून मग रात्रीच्या जेवणासाठी खेडशिवापुर येथील ‘जय भवानी मटण भाकरी’ या हॉटेलमध्ये गेलो. आधी मित्रांकडून येथील जेवणाविषयी ऐकलं होत पण प्रत्यक्ष जाण्याचा योग आला नव्हता. त्यामुळे मुद्दाम येथेच थांबलो. जय भवानी मधील मटण भाकरी, बिर्याणी, तंदूर आणि हो आळणी भात अप्रतिम आहे. डंक्यावर कुटलेल्या मासाल्यांची चव अन् तुपाच्या धारेत चुलीवर शिजवलेल्या गावरान चवीच्या मटण भाकरीने बोटं चाटत जेवायला भाग पाडले.

जेवणाच्या चवी विषयी उत्सुकता वाटली म्हणून हॉटेल मालक शंकर कोंडे यांच्याशी बोललो साधला. ते म्हणाले, ‘जय भवानी मटण भाकरी’ हे हॉटेल सन 2000 मध्ये सुरू झाले. घरी डंक्यावर कुटलेल्या मासाले व चुळीवर शिजवलेले गावरान मटण आणि तुपाचा वापर ही ‘जय भवानी मटण भाकरी’ची खासियत आहे. सुमारे 21 वर्षांपूर्वी घरगुती पद्धतीने बनविलेले व चुलीवर शिवाजवलेले मटण मिळत नव्हते. शहरात तर चुलीच नामशेष झाल्या आहेत. आशावेळी गावरान चव असलेली मटण भाकरी तयार करून विकायची अशी कल्पना सुचली. आज ‘जय भवानी मटण भाकरी’सह ‘जय भवानी बिर्याणी हाऊस’ आणि तंदुर सुद्धा आम्ही बनवत आहोत. जेष्ठ अभिनेते दादा कोंडके, अंकुश चौधरी, संगीतकार अजय अतुल आदी सेलिब्रिटींनी देखील आमच्या जेवणाची चव चाखाली आहे.

याच टेबलाच्या बाजूला एक चिमुकली मस्त आनंद घेत जेवत होती. प्रत्युषा पंडित तीच नाव. मी तिला विचारलं तुला यामधलं काय आवडलं ? तर ती म्हणाली ‘आळणी भात’. लहान मुलं तिखट फारस खात नाही. म्हणून येथे जेवणात खास लहान मुलांसाठी ‘आळणी भात’ ठेवण्यात आला आहे. याच वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे मटनाचं जे आळणीपाणी असतं त्यामध्ये भात टाकून तो शिजवला जातो. मुलांसह मोठे देखील हा आळणी भात आवडीने खातात.
