पुणे: वाहतूक जनजागृतिसाठी पुढाकार घेऊन शहरांमधील विविध भागांमधील शाळा आणि महाविद्यालयांमध्ये जाऊन जनजागृती केल्याबद्दल पी.बी. जैन फाऊंडेशनचे अध्यक्ष व पुणे कार डीलर्स असोसिएशनचे विश्वस्त अतुल जैन यांचा गौरव पुणे पोलिसांच्या वतीने गौरव करण्यात आला. नुकताच राष्ट्रीय रस्ते सुरक्षा सप्ताह सुरु झाला असून त्यानिमित्ताने जैन यांनी केलेल्या उत्कृष्ठ कामगिरीबद्दल हा गौरव पुणे वाहतूक पोलीसांच्यावतीने करण्यात आला.

जैन यांना वाहतूक विभागाचे पोलीस उपायुक्त राहूल श्रीरामे यांच्या हस्ते सन्मानपत्र देण्यात आले. यावेळी वाहतूक परिमंडळ १ चे सहायक पोलीस आयुक्त पै. विजय चौधरी, सहायक पोलीस उपायुक्त सुषमा चव्हाण, खडक वाहतूक विभागाचे पोलिस निरीक्षक विनायक साळुंखे, पोलीस अधिकारी आनंत व्यवहारे यावेळी उपस्थित होते.
नागरिकांनी वाहतूक नियमांचे पालन करण्यासाठी विविध पोलीस ठाण्यांच्या हद्दीत तब्बल १०० ते १५० बोर्ड जैन यांनी लावले आहेत. यामध्ये वानवडी, स्वारगेट, पुणे स्टेशन, सेव्हन लव्ह चौक,पिंपरी-चिंचवड, खडकी, भोसरी येथे प्रामुख्याने जनजागृती केली आहे. ट्राफिक नियम पाळून नागरिकांनी पोलिसांचा ताण कमी करण्याचं आवाहन त्यांनी यानिमित्ताने केलं आहे. अ‍ॅंटी करप्शन टीम इंडीयाचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष घनश्याम ओझा देखील या जनजागृतीदरम्यान उपस्थित होते.
